The PostScript Utility Package (PSUP)
is a series of PostScript and other files for various purposes all aimed at helping users, systems administrators and manufacturers of postscript printers, devices and RIPs better understand and use printers as well as help in the debugging process of the interpreter code.

NOTE: Sample pages from the PostScript Color Imaging Utility (PSCIU).

OS/2 Warp setup OS/2 Warp connection script to Achilles Internet is an HTML page that details the configuration of the OS/2 Warp 3.0 "Dial Other Internet Providers" utility to access Achilles Internet services. You can easily modify it for other providers. A script is needed for this and is available from the page.

PPST home page The PostScript Processing Speed Test is a benchmarking utility for PostScript printers and other postscript devices. It permits a user to see how fast his device is as compared to a base device, somewhat like Norton's SI.
DOOM WADs I have also available a few DOOM WADs and utilities.

FOREST is was the very first DOOM WAD that had a built in demo and custom textures as well as a custom SKY texture. Since it's release it has been updated many times and now is a full 5 map episode.
OTTAWAU is in prerelease format and is (will be) a full 9 mission WAD with new monsters, new floor/ceilings, new walls, new sounds, new music and new weapons.

WWW bouncing board

I have started adding this list of links from various sources mainly for my use since I use many different PCs and operating systems to access the web, my home page is becoming a better way of keeping a good list of "bookmarks". If you'd like to visit my page of links you're welcome. I've tried to organize it and indicate where I got the link from as well. You can also view my bookmark file.

Great links that helped me make these great Web pages!

You should probably go through these in this order. They are meant to be going from beginner to intermediate and to advanced HTML document creation.

Personal information:

My name is Jean-Serge Gagnon and I work as a Linux, programming and networking consultant. I have become quite a Linux and networking expert in the last 4 years with my previous jobs and my constant work on my home system (I have 5 PCs setup, three with Linux, one with Win95 and the other with both Linux and DOS/Windows 3.11.

My last job was as a System Design Engineer at YARC Systems Inc. in Thousand Oaks, California. That's in the southern part of California, about 60 miles northwest of Los Angeles. At the moment, I am working on the design and implementation of the user interface for our new product, the XP Server; go ahead check it out! I moved with my family to Simi Valley, California (about 20 miles from work). It's about 3 days away by car (no stopping) and a 6hour flight from our real home, but it's an experience.

I have a wife and two beautiful little girls that I love very much. One was born in May 1993 and the other in September 94.

I love outdoor hikes and am an amateur botanist. I think it's great to know what wild plants and flowers you are looking at (and walking on) when you look outside.

I also find computers to be an other great pass-time for me. I created a benchmark utility called the PostScript processing Speed Test (PPST) in 1991 and have worked on it more or less regularly since then. It is basically a PostScript file that uses the language in an extensive way to tell you how fast your PS device is compared to a "base" device. Look above for PPST's own home page!

I am also (less now, but in the 95-96 years) a pretty diehard DOOM player. I created three files for DOOM. Two Wads and one utility. The FOREST WAD (380K ZIP) has been around for almost 2 years now with regular updates to it; the last version properly supports DOOM I, ver1.9. FOREST is a 5 mission WAD that was considered by many (and still is) one of the best Wads available, but don't take my word for it, get the OTTAWAU (793K ZIP). Lastly, the utility I created is called DOOM Check (48K ZIP) and it permits batch file programers to check the installed DOOM version among other things. Check the bottom of the page for a link to these files.

Photo Album

Well, I'm sure some people will think that this is a waste of space and bandwidth on the Internet and if you are one of them, then just don't link to my photo album. I thought that it might be interesting for those who have been using PPST or my Wads to see what I look like and what my family looks like. Enjoy!
